Document Browser
With the document browser imperia offers a clear and user-friendly management of both documents and assets that currently have a published site/variant .
There may be overlaps, but the main condition for being available in the Document Browser/MAM is that the document has a (copy) page published on the development system or at least one of the live systems.
You will find a detailed description of the document browser in the user manual.
Configuration of the document browser#
There are following variables for configuring the document browser:
Display of unpublished documents in the document browser#
Documents that have not yet been published can also be displayed in the Document Browser. As well as copied documents, these can be documents for for which the Update document data property is set in the "Metaedit" or "Edit step" of the workflow:
- Choose the Workflow menu.
- Select the desired workflow from the list of workflows and choose Edit in the workflow drop-down list.
- Double-click on the "Metaedit" or "Edit" step of the workflow graphic.
- Activate the Update document data option in the Parameters dialog.
- Save your changes by clicking on OK.
If a new document is now created with this workflow, it is displayed in the document browser, even if the workflow has not yet been finished. Such documents are marked with an asterisk in front of the document in the document browser. Note. that the URL of these documents cannot be clicked in the document browser and the Publish option is grayed out:
